For Patients

NYU Langone is actively responding to the spread of 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19). We have implemented changes that may affect some appointments and visits. Your everyday health should remain your top priority—it is for us. We are here to meet your healthcare needs, as always.

Where to Seek Immediate Care

If you are experiencing fever and shortness of breath, seek immediate care at your nearest emergency department or call 911.

If you have flu-like symptoms, please schedule a Virtual Urgent Care appointment in order to see a care provider as soon as possible. Appointments are available seven days a week, and you can see a care provider without leaving home. If you have an NYU Langone doctor, you can also schedule a video visit.

Video Visits With Our Doctors

For current NYU Langone patients, we now offer video visits with many of our doctors and care providers, allowing you to see your doctor from your mobile device or computer instead of an in-office visit. You can schedule a video visit online through your NYU Langone Health MyChart account, or by logging in to your MyChart account using the NYU Langone Health mobile app. Video visits can also be scheduled over the phone. Call your doctor’s office during business hours, or call 929-455-6563 for scheduling assistance on weekends between 9:00AM and 5:00PM.

Video visits are available for adults and for children of all ages. Learn more about video doctor visits.

Temporary Practice Closures

Many NYU Langone locations remain open for existing and new appointments, and we are taking every precaution to keep our patients and visitors safe. The following practices are temporarily closed. Patients with upcoming appointments will be contacted to reschedule at another location, or for a future date. If you have any questions, please call your doctor’s office.

For Imaging Services Patients

Walk-in appointments for imaging services are currently not permitted at any of our radiology locations. Please schedule an appointment in advance by calling 877-648-2964 for Manhattan and Brooklyn locations, 516-222-2022 for Long Island, or 718-605-6500 for Staten Island. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Screening mammography appointments are not being scheduled at this time. Diagnostic mammography appointments are still being scheduled.

The following imaging services locations are temporarily closed.

Elective Surgeries Postponed

All elective surgeries have been postponed until further notice, following an executive order from the Mayor of New York City. Elective surgeries include any surgical procedure that the patient and their doctor agree can be postponed safely. If you have a scheduled elective surgery, your doctor’s office will work with you to reschedule it for a later date. Nonelective surgeries are taking place as scheduled. Please contact your doctor’s office with any questions.

For Patients With In-Person Doctor Appointments

If you have a scheduled appointment and you have flu-like symptoms, please contact your doctor’s office. We ask that you please do not arrive at the doctor’s office with these symptoms until you have spoken with the practice and they have advised you to come in.

For Family Health Centers at NYU Langone patients: If you have flu-like symptoms, please contact 347-377-3708 prior to your appointment to speak with one of our nurses. Please do not arrive at a clinic with these symptoms unless you have been advised to do so.

Information for Visitors

We understand the important role that family members and visitors play in the healing process. To continue providing the safest care environment for our patients, visitors, and staff, we have implemented changes to our visitor policies for all locations.
